Register for Adult Camp
The Montana Learning Center provides science content and teaching strategies to enhance and expand your professional growth. Programs offered give science teachers from throughout Montana and the region a unique opportunity to collaborate with other science leaders and their peers in a beautiful lakeside setting.
For the first time in 2020, Montana Learning Center is offering adults the opportunity to experience (or re-experience) overnight summer camp. With a combination of classroom and outdoor, experiential learning activities, adult campers will spend a weekend enjoying boating, rock hounding, and just hanging out at our beautiful location on Canyon Ferry Lake.
At the MLC, teachers learn how to better engage students interested in science. Programs rely on private donations and vary from year-to-year.
This fall we are proud to host two teacher trainings:
– October 4th & 5th – Aquatic Invasive Species
– October 25th & 26th – Aeronautics
Click on the specific workshop to learn more and to apply. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, there is no cost to the teachers who are accepted into each of the programs.
“Let me add in my THANKS! You are a fantastic group to work with. You folks are “working with” thousands of students over the course of your career, and I feel our youth are in very good hands. Your professionalism is wonderful, and your attitudes are amazing.”
Working with science in fun and engaging ways
“Thank you so much! That was easily the best professional development course that I have been to, and I really enjoyed learning new activities I can use in my classroom and sharing resources with all of you!”
