Exploration & Adventure are key elements
Imagine it’s the middle of the night and suddenly you’re awakened to an emergency broadcast that simply states “RUN!”
Campers will experience an imaginary Zombie Apocalypse. They will be challenged to stay alive without the tools of technology. Students will survive by living sustainably with nature. They will learn about the many uses of local plants, how to geocache and how to use maps. Working as a team, they will design a camp and — most importantly — set up a new society.
Do you have what it takes to survive the nightmare? If so, be prepared to spend a lot of time outside and find the way to the future.
Discover Earth’s Treasures
Welcome geologists of the future.
Come dig into this geologic gem of a camp where you’ll discover the earth from the inside out. Feast your eyes upon our massive rock and mineral displays, collect your own gemstones, and crack open your own geode! Campers also will channel their inner “Sherlock” and uncover new treasures during a fossil dig.
Can you dig it?
Fly to the Moon (LEGO robotics)
Would you like to relive the amazing challenges of the Apollo 11 moon landing?
Working as a team, campers will create a lander, a replica of the Apollo Lunar Module. They will learn how to control a drone and gain skills to land it on a map of the lunar surface. Students will learn how to collaborate with their teammates and increase their knowledge of science, math, engineering and technology.
Fly to the moon with the Montana Learning Center’s expert instructors.
Search & Rescue Flight Squad
All pilots report to the Montana Learning Center Flight Squad Camp to test your skills at pitch, yaw, roll, and thrust.
Campers will challenge their eye-hand coordination trying to maneuver a drone through a variety of skill games. Students will learn together as part of a flight squad and show off their coding skills. They will engage in real life experiences, including search and rescue and other competitive, exciting missions.
Let’s go fly!
“My 11 year old daughter, Kennedy, is still telling us fun stories and she has already made plans to return next year. This was her best camp experience yet. I can’t say enough about the smile on her face when she’s telling us about her camp experience. Thank you so much for giving her this experience!”
