An Evening Under the Stars

Join us on September 12 for an unforgettable evening at Montana Learning Center—one that celebrates curiosity, discovery, and the power of science education to shape Montana’s future.

The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by a catered dinner reception at 6:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy live and silent auctions, good company, and a memorable night beneath Montana’s wide-open skies (weather permitting). As the stars come out, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the night sky through the largest telescope of its kind in Montana.

Tickets are $75 per person and include a catered meal and unlimited drinks.

Creating Possibilities for Students

MLC gives young people the chance to experience science in ways that are hands-on, engaging, and memorable. Through a growing variety of STEM summer camps for K–12 students, participants learn by doing—building confidence, discovering new interests, and seeing possibilities for their own futures.

Interest in these programs continues to grow, with summer camps reaching record-breaking attendance year after year.

MLC also connects Montana middle and high school students with several NASA-affiliated programs available in the state only through Montana Learning Center, giving students access to unique learning experiences that can broaden their understanding of science—and their sense of what is possible.

Empowering the Teachers Who Inspire Them

The impact of one inspired teacher can reach hundreds of students.

MLC supports Montana science educators through online and in-person professional learning opportunities designed to bring relevant, engaging science into the classroom. Teachers learn ways to incorporate Next Generation Science Standards, use MLC’s remote robotic telescope with their students, and create meaningful, real-world learning experiences that encourage exploration and discovery.

By investing in teachers, MLC helps extend the impact of its work far beyond the shores of Canyon Ferry Lake and into classrooms and communities across Montana.
